There are many combinations and options of travel you can use to get to Orkney – there are three ferry routes from Scotland and direct air services from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Shetland. For more information on how to get to Orkney see the following links:

  • If you are travelling with a vehicle to Eday, remember to book well in advance if you can.

A range of transportation services is provided by a local company, comprising taxi, hire car and minibus tour services.
In addition, a bus service operates on Thursdays only, meeting the boat as it arrives at the pier.
